Built using metals, alloys, wood and even plastic, these consist of sturdy wheels and castors, which enable them to carry heavy goods from one place to other. Most trolleys typically contain a basket or a platform, where various goods and materials are loaded and then moved to and fro. Hand trolleys are a type of trolley, which are used for this purpose.

However, there are a number of powered trolleys too, which run on electricity or battery and need zero-manpower to push or pull them. Such trolleys are used in places where a large number of freight is to be handled. It is here, that a trolley becomes an essential materials handling equipment. For instance, some warehouses contain non-foldable or foldable trolley that can be used to carry loads of up to thousands of kilograms! This is something that is not possible to do manually.

In a Nutshell

Different trolleys – be it a non-foldable or a foldable trolley cart or battery powered and hand trolleys, are designed in a way that it meets the requirements of their user. For instance, think of lightweight collapsible trolleys, used extensively in supermarkets or the slim documents trolley used in work places. So, all in all, you have to find out the trolley suitable for your work and use it to get your work done. Good luck!
